Margaret performs throughout California with internationally-known musical groups Brocelïande, Avalon Rising, Margaret & Kristoph, and as a solo harper and singer. Both groups have performed in concert throughout the United States and are available for regional tours.
The San Francisco Bay Area-based trio Brocelïande has become known through its concerts and recordings for its beautiful, innovative arrangements of Celtic, Medieval and Renaissance Music. Members are leader Margaret Davis (vocals, harp, flute, recorders), Kristoph Klover (vocals, 12-string guitar, octave mandolin, oboe), and Kris Yenney (cello, vocals, kamanche, percussion). Brocelïande performs in Bay Area venues including Freight & Salvage, St. Alban's Church, Borders, Espresso Garden, the Presidio Chapel, and Strings. Brocelïande has appeared several times on KALW "Folk Music & Beyond" with Joann Mar, and on KQED on "West Coast Live" with Sedge Thompson, and on KPFA "Hear and Now" with Derk Richardson. They performed at the Van Nuys Celtic Center in 2001 and will be touring the Pacific Northwest in July 2002. Brocelïande has 6 CDs out on the Flowinglass Music label.
Described as "scintillatingly original," San Francisco Bay Area-based Celtic rock band Avalon Rising performs new arrangements of Celtic traditional music and original rock. Margaret Davis sings female lead with the group, and plays Celtic harp, flute, and recorder. Bandleader Kristoph Klover sings male lead vocals and plays electric guitar and octave mandolin. Cat Taylor is the band's electric fiddler, Mark Ungar plays bass, mandocello, and sings, and Scott Irwin holds forth on drums. Avalon Rising has two CDs out on the Flowinglass Music label and has performed for 15 years throughout California at festivals and venues, including the Euro-American Festival in Jinan, China, the High Sierra Music Festival, the Harmony Festival, the Sonoma County Fair, and many others.
